As Christian parents, we all desire our children to grow up being productive and upright citizens. We want to make sure that they do the right thing and follow a path that would please God, but there aren’t any classes that show us how to teach these Christian values to our children.

We know that our world needs strong Christian individuals to face what is coming. How do we raise up those Samson, Daniels and Samuel, Ruth and Naomi. We need to find ways as parents to teach and develop these characteristics in our children because they are facing full warfare from the enemy. How do we teach them to stand strong against such opposition such that when we stand before God one day, we know He will say well done.

The Bible tells us in 1st Tim 3:16-17 that the bible is the Christian book of instructions. Reading it together and discussing what it means teaches our children what is right and wrong and provides beautiful interesting example of characters who demonstrate the character traits that God want to see in us. The ways you can present these truths to your children include:

• Modeling (Titus 2: 7 – 9)
• Discipline with patient  (Eph 6: 4)
• Talk directly with your children  (Deut 6: 6 – 7)
• Positive reinforcement of good Christian character (Jer 16:17, John 3:16)

God is faithful to reward your labour of love over your children, all you have to do is remain steadfast in teaching and guiding them in the part of truth and as the bible promised, when they grow up they will not depart from it.
